Open Day & Festival of Basketball — this Sunday

St. Vincent’s Open Day — our Festival of Basketball — is on Sunday 23 August, 10am to 6pm at St. Vincent’s C.B.S. in Glasnevin. It’s a fundraising day for the club, and everyone is welcome: players, families and past members.

What’s on

  • 100,000 Shot Fundraiser — all day, every basket counts
  • Shooting Stars exhibition game — 12:00, Main Court
  • Club Awards Day — 13:00, Canteen
  • Club Raffle — from 13:30, Canteen
  • 3v3 tournaments — U16 boys, U16 girls & adults, outdoor courts
  • Come & try basketball — 14:30, Main Court, with our Super League players
  • ISO club shop & fitting day — 14:00–16:30, car park
  • Second-hand gear sale, a coffee van, and the launch of our club TikTok

The 100,000 Shot Fundraiser

The 100,000-shot challenge runs all day. Take some shots on one of the courts to add to the total. If you can’t make it in person, you can donate online.

Shooting Stars exhibition — 12:00

Our inclusive Shooting Stars programme has over 40 players across the teams this year. At 12:00, the senior Shooting Stars team plays an exhibition on the Main Court — come along and cheer them on. More about Shooting Stars.

3v3 tournaments

3v3 tournaments run on the outdoor courts through the day — U16 boys, U16 girls and adults. Register a team:

Club Awards & Raffle

At 13:00 in the canteen we’ll present last season’s underage team awards — every team up to U20 has an MVP, Most Improved Player and Best Defensive Player.

The club raffle runs from 13:30 — tickets are €5 for a row or 3 rows for €10. Prizes include a beekeeping course for two, handcrafted ceramics, gym classes, a book signed by Paul McGinley, and vouchers for local businesses.

New club shop with ISO Basketball

We’ve partnered with ISO Basketball for the season ahead. There’s a fitting day from 2–4pm to try on gear and order on the spot. Read more.
