About St. Vincent's
Our Club
A proud Glasnevin basketball club, founded in 1962 — building players, teams and a community on and off the court.
Who we are
St. Vincent’s Basketball Club is one of the oldest basketball clubs in Ireland, founded in 1962 in Glasnevin, Dublin. From our roots in the schoolyard of St. Vincent’s C.B.S., we’ve grown into a full-pathway club — welcoming the youngest first-timers at our Little Saints academy right through to senior national competition with Bright St. Vincent’s in the Men’s Super League.
We’re known simply as the Saints, and for more than six decades we’ve been a home for players who want to learn the game, compete at every level, and be part of something bigger than themselves.

Our ethos
Basketball at St. Vincent’s is for everyone. We believe in:
- A place for every player — whatever your age, ability or ambition.
- Development first — good coaching, good habits and a love of the game.
- Community — teammates, families and volunteers who make the club tick.
- Pride in the jersey — competing hard and representing Glasnevin with respect.
Current status
The club runs teams across the full pathway: the Little Saints academy, boys’ and girls’ underage teams up to U20, men’s and women’s senior teams competing across the Dublin League from the top divisions to grassroots, and our flagship Bright St. Vincent’s team in the Men’s Super League, the top tier of Irish basketball.
